Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Tink It! Education (“EF Mastery”, “we”, “us”) handles the personal data of visitors, parents, educators and course members. We follow the principles of Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and apply the same care to everyone, wherever you live.

1. Who we are

EF Mastery is the online executive-function course platform of Tink It! Education, founded by Dr. Siti Mariam, EdD. When we mention “the courses” we mean our online lessons, assessments, resources and related communications.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the courses and reply to you. That falls into three buckets:

Information you give us

• Your name and email address when you start a course, enrol, or contact us.
• Answers you choose in the free EF Assessment. These describe a child's everyday behaviours; we use them only to generate your on-screen result and, if you ask us to, to email your report.
• Messages you send us by email, WhatsApp or our forms.
• Billing details when you enrol — handled by our payment provider, not stored on our servers (see section 5).

Information we collect automatically

• Basic usage data — pages visited, device and browser type, approximate region — to understand what's helpful and fix what isn't.
• Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 6.

3. How we use it

We use your information to:

• Give you the course or assessment result you asked for.
• Reply to your questions and provide support.
• Send you the emails you opted into — course guidance, new lessons, and occasional offers. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
• Keep the platform secure, working and improving.
• Meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

4. Your consent

We collect and use your data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form, enrol, or opt in — and, where the law allows, to fulfil a request you've made or to meet a legal duty. You can withdraw consent for marketing at any time (see sections 9 and 13); we'll action reasonable requests promptly.

5. Who we share it with

We share data only with the trusted service providers that make the courses run, and only as far as each needs to do its job:

• Course & email platform — hosts enrolment, membership and our email list.
• Payment provider — processes enrolment payments securely; we receive a confirmation, not your card number.
• Website hosting & analytics — serves this site and gives us aggregate usage insights.

These providers are bound to protect your data and use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our members and community.

6. Cookies & analytics

Cookies are small files that help the site remember you and let us measure what's working. We use essential cookies (needed for the site to function) and analytics cookies (to understand usage in aggregate). You can control or clear cookies in your browser settings; blocking some may affect how parts of the site behave.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose we collected it — for the life of your membership, for as long as you stay subscribed to our emails, and for any period the law requires (for example, accounting records). When it's no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

8. How we protect it

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), reputable providers with their own safeguards, and access controls that limit who can see your data. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable, current measures to protect yours and to notify you and the authorities if a serious breach ever occurs.

9. Your rights

Under the PDPA and similar laws, you can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything inaccurate or out of date.
• Withdraw consent or unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
• Ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it.

To exercise any of these, email us at hello@efmastery.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

10. Children's information

EF Mastery is designed for parents, educators and adults — not for children to sign up. The assessment and course accounts are created by adults. When you describe your child's behaviours in the assessment, that information is used to generate guidance for you; we don't knowingly collect data directly from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll remove it.

11. Where your data is stored

Our providers may store and process data on servers outside Singapore or Malaysia. Where data crosses borders, we take steps so it continues to receive a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our courses and the law evolve. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, let members know by email.
